颍川陈氏的始祖陈寔，字仲弓，东汉著名儒学大师、道德楷模，被后世尊称为“颍川陈氏开基始祖”。陈寔一生以仁义治家，以德行立世，他宽厚待人、教化乡里，曾以“梁上君子”的故事流传千古，成为以德化人的典范。陈寔不仅奠定了颍川陈氏家族的道德根基，更为后世子孙留下了忠孝仁义、敦伦睦族的祖训精神。正是这种家风传承，使陈氏一族枝繁叶茂，延绵千年，成为中华大家族之一。义门陈氏亦承其风范，以大同之家闻名于世。今天的陈氏后裔，遍布五湖四海，依旧以陈寔的教诲为根，以家风为魂，延续着中华优秀传统文化。
Chen Shi, styled Zhonggong, is honored as the founding ancestor of the Yingchuan Chen Clan. A renowned Confucian scholar and moral model of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he is remembered for his wisdom, virtue, and benevolence. Known for the famous tale of the “Gentleman on the Beam,” Chen Shi exemplified teaching by moral conduct and kindness. His principles of loyalty, filial piety, and righteousness became the spiritual foundation of the Chen family. These values allowed the Chen lineage to flourish, becoming one of the great clans in Chinese history. The Yimen Chen Clan later inherited this tradition, establishing itself as a household of unity and virtue. Today, Chen descendants across the world still uphold Chen Shi’s teachings, carrying forward the legacy of Chinese family culture.
