The Yimen Chen Clan originated in Yimen Village, De’an County, Jiangxi, when Ancestor Chen Wang established the family settlement in 731 AD. For 960 years, the clan lived together without division, earning the title “The World’s Largest Family.” Over time, especially after Emperor Renzong’s decree of division in the Song Dynasty, the Chen descendants spread across China and beyond. The Ding family shares the same ancestral roots with the Chen clan, both tracing back to the moral legacy of Chen Shi of Yingchuan. Today, members of the Chen and Ding families visit Yimen Chen to honor their common heritage. This journey of ancestral tracing is not only a search for origins but also a reaffirmation of shared values, unity, and cultural inheritance. This video captures the moving moments of Chen and Ding clans reconnecting, reflecting the enduring strength of Chinese family traditions.
